Highly recommended
We re-visited on our return journey down the Llangollen canal, it was our favourite along the entire waterway, so friendly and welcoming.
It was half term so the pub was packed, but it was just as good if not better than our first visit.
The weather was stunning which meant we were able to eat outside.
The outside there are various places to sit including beside the lock.
The pub inside is charming, with an array of jugs and pot, a real unique place.
Will be back !
We all loved this place, a proper pub serving great food and real ales.
The food was served promptly, was delicious and well priced.
Good selection of desserts and coffees.
Our beer of choice was the Limestone Stone Cutter which was excellent.
They were also kind enough to help us with Wi-Fi, which we really appreciated.
We really enjoyed our visit whilst out on our boat and will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.
Thank you
Possibly the most interesting pub I have seen in a long time. I don't drink but the food was excellent. I met the original lady who bought the bar as a very small cottage 40 plus years ago and I think her daughter and husband run it now. Thousands of Toby jugs and teapots adorn the walls and even the ceiling. Great outside space to relax and watch the canal boats as they pass through the locks.
Revisited this quaint and charming place on my recent boating holiday. Fabulous food, very good portion sizes. Staff are very welcoming. Good value for money. We were a family of 6 and all meals arrived within seconds of each other. We loved it so much we we had dinner there again on the way back and took our grandchildren as well. Kids loved it. They accommodated a party of 8 easily . Well worth a visit
